Description
The greenish flowers are small and bloom in the spring. The reddish brown fruit is eaten by a number of bird species. One of the best larval food sources for Giant Swallowtail butterflies. Light gray bark with knobby protuberances. Leaves and bark can be used to calm a toothache.
